About Paul Guthrie: A scientist by training and vocation, he received a B.A. in Physics from Cornell University, followed by a Ph.D. in Astronomy from the University of Massachusetts. He has worked for NASA, primarily in the development of computer models to simulate the chemistry of the Earth’s atmosphere, and as a consultant to the EPA on air pollution and climate issues. Since 1999 he has been involved in developing software for biotechnology and medical applications. Starting in 2002 he decided to pursue another interest as well, that of writing fiction. He lives in the San Francisco Bay area. |
